Eubanks Boosts Wire Prefeed Acceleration For High Wire Stripping Throughput And Productivity

Eubanks Engineering Co., a leading manufacturer of wire processing equipment, today announced the Model 6815-05/06 Belt Driven Demand Prefeed which improves wire strip-length accuracy and extends the life of wire strippers by reducing load pressures.

"This new prefeed delivers quick response, high-speed acceleration, automatic speed control, high torque and dependability. It hits full speed quickly and delivers full pulling power at every speed," said Phil McNamee, engineering manager at Eubanks. "In addition to optimizing wire-length accuracy, these capabilities minimize tension on wire as it's fed and prevent jamming and excessive strain on equipment and materials.

"The Model 6815-05/06's one-half horsepower motor combines with an advanced, high-performance automatic speed motor controller to swiftly deliver any length wire to any make of wire processing machine. Benefits are enhanced when the new prefeed is used with a Eubanks machine. When used together, the Model 6815-05/06 prefeed and a Eubanks wire stripper form an integrated system. Both machines will shut down in the event of a jam or tangle in the wire.

The Model 6815-05/06 prefeed provides ample power to rotate maximum weight reels or pull wire from a barrel. A manual jog switch makes for easy loading and unloading of wire. A provision for mounting two reels makes it possible to increase production by cutting and stripping two wires at a time.

The Model 6815-05/06 is designed to support a broad range of requirements. It handles wire sizes ranging from 32 AWG up to 2 AWG and from 0.030-inches (0.8mm) to 0.280-inches (7.1mm) O.D. It is available for operation at 115 VAC or 230 VAC and requires minimal space with its compact 40x24x18-inch (HxLxW) dimensions.
