New Benchtop Prefeed From Eubanks
Excels In Heavy-Duty Applications

MONROVIA, Calif., Oct. 21, 2001-Eubanks Engineering Co., a leading manufacturer of wire processing equipment, announced today the 6380 Benchtop Prefeed. This driven-reel wire delivery system offers flexibility and versatility not found in small benchtop models.

"Model 6380 delivers more in a compact 33- x 24-inch footprint than any other benchtop prefeed and more than many floor models," said Phil McNamee, engineering manager at Eubanks. "Here's a product that really performs while using a minimal amount of space."

The Model 6380's one-half horsepower motor and advanced motion control provide fast ramp-up and ramp-down speeds. By offering instant response, it eliminates starting lag and wire over-runs. Its ability to provide a wire processor with slack wire on demand ensures optimum accuracy and uninterrupted wire processing. With reel rotation speeds of up to 600 rpm, it keeps pace with any wire processor.

Model 6380 operates in two modes, demand or adjustable continuous feed. In demand mode, speed varies dynamically in response to wire processor demand. Adjustable continuous feed mode is designed for use with fragile wire such as 28 AWG.

Model 6380 can handle reels up to 15-inches in diameter and 10-inches wide with a maximum reel weight of 75 pounds. Maximum drive speeds range from 120 to 450 inches per second.

Users of Eubanks Autostrip machines also benefit from the automatic shut down capability of these machines in the event that a knot in the wire causes a jam.
