Fiber
optics has quickly become the ideal cable for broadband communication
networks. With its high tensile strength, low mass, small size, corrosion-resistance,
and clear signals, you can see why.
But because of the protective layer of Kevlar that surrounds it, fiber optic cable is very difficult to cut and strip. But Eubanks does it better.
The AirStrip 2715 has been designed specifically to solve this problem. It has a special blade assembly that cuts through this Kevlar layer and enables high-speed production. It shears fiber-optic cable to length and strips the outside jacket off each end. Strip lengths range from 0.375 to 1.312 in. (9 to 33mm). It can process both single and parallel/duplex cable.
